A formal ceremony was held yesterday at the Coliseu Micaelense to commemorate the raise of Ponta Delgada to the status of a city. To celebrate its 478th anniversary, the ceremony honoured organisations and personalities which, in the field of their activities, have contributed to the progress and well-being of Ponta Delgada.
The Bensaude Group is very honoured to receive the "Gold Medal of the Municipality" on this day. This recognition reflects our commitment and dedication and we therefore share the honour with our teams, partners and community. In more than 200 years, as a result of its great ability to adapt and its strategic vision, the Group has diversified its activity, becoming the largest private business entity in the Azores and one of the 100 largest companies with Portuguese capital. We make a point of preserving our roots and maintaining a strong connection with the Azores.
