CFA - Centros de Fabrico dos Açores
The company CFA - Centros de Fabrico dos Açores, defines itself as a meat, bakery, pastry and fish processing industry in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
Created in 2021, it is a benchmark of excellence in the fields of sustainability, quality and innovation.
Two years later, in November 2023, an industrial complex with more than 5,000 square metres of gross construction area was inaugurated, bringing together the three production units in Nordela, Ponta Delgada, thus leaving a single industrial structure in São Miguel and maintaining the manufacturing unit that has already existed since 2021, in Terceira Island.
With this new building, CFA gains a decisive and relevant scale for the export business. It valorises regional raw materials and produces according to the strictest quality standards, based on the knowledge of Bensaude Distribuition's team and business partners.
The mission of the Azores Manufacturing Centres is to add value to the Azores, producing and transforming with the knowledge of our team and business partners, creating added value in the Azores, for our customers and our stakeholders, fostering a lasting relationship based on trust and the strictest quality standards. Focused on the Azores, but guided towards the global market without losing focus on valuing our origins.
In total, this new factory in São Miguel has more than 100 employees, more than 22 specialised technicians.
CFA's share capital is 80 % owned by the Bensaude Group, 10 % by SONAE and 10 % by Moagem Terceirense.
