On October 31st, the Bensaude Group supported the social programme of the ESMI@Azores 2024 meeting, providing a moment of relaxation for participants from five European countries. After a day and a half of intense discussions on the scientific advances made, the researchers from the ESMI Consortium (European Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3/Machado-Joseph Disease Initiative) were able to enjoy the tranquillity and natural beauty of Parque Terra Nostra.
The group was welcomed with a stroll through the historic garden, followed by tea and a snack in the cosy Terra Nostra Hotel Bar, where they exchanged ideas and relaxed in an authentic Azorean atmosphere. This experience of socialising and immersion in the local culture, offered by the Bensaude Group, reinforces the institution's commitment to social causes and to supporting scientific initiatives with a global impact.
