E-Tourist - Strategies of Digital Marketing in Tourism

As a way of celebrating the protocol between the Faculty of Management and Economics of the University of the Azores and Bensaude Turismo, business unit of the Bensaude Group, the award for best student with a Tourism Major was held on November 2nd. The winner received a cash prize of €1000 in a ceremony that took place in Amphitheater 1 of the Science building of the University of the Azores.

This ceremony also included a lecture, held by Filipe Carrera, an expert in Digital Marketing, who focused his talk on ​​Tourism.

Under the theme "e-Tourist - Strategies of Digital Marketing in Tourism", the speaker addressed topics such as trends, the World of Social Score, the new requirements of sustainable tourism and the importance of content marketing. 

Filipe Carrera has extensive experience in the area, being coordinator of the Digital Marketing postgraduate course at IPAM-IADE - Lisbon, Porto, Azores e-learning, a Professor at several University institutions in Portugal, Spain, Romania and Ecuador and also a trainer and speaker in more than 50 countries on 4 continents and in 3 languages.

He has written 7 books, available in more than 80 countries, with the following topics being his preferred focus: Networking, Digital Marketing, Social Learning, Communication, Collaborative Work and Leading in the 21st Century.
