The Continente Modelo shops in the Autonomous Region of the Azores raised a total of €16,785 for Missão Continente's Christmas campaign, under the motto 'When we help, everyone gets more', which was aimed at supporting people in situations of helplessness, whether psychological, financial, social or food, as well as unprotected animals.
The shops in the Autonomous Region of the Azores are delivering the donations collected to the local institutions supported by Missão Continente, in order to symbolically thank all the customers who contributed to raising more than 1.5 million euros to support more than 750 institutions nationwide, representing more than 100,000 beneficiaries across the country.
The campaign, which ran from 1 November to 25 December 2024 in all shops, created a movement to support communities in Portugal and gave customers the opportunity to select the cause they most admire, knowing that they were having a direct impact on their own community. Customers could also choose to contribute via Continente Online or the Continente Card app, using Continente Pay. In both cases, the total amount raised was shared between all the institutions.
Through the more than 750 social institutions, a total of around 80,000 people and 20,000 animals are impacted by the campaign. All these organisations have been assessed and scrutinised by ENTRAJUDA to ensure that the support reaches them where it's needed.
