For the ninth consecutive year, Bensaude Turismo awarded the Excellence Prize to the best student in the Tourism Degree of the University of the Azores. This year, the prize was awarded to Jennifer Botelho, who obtained the highest final classification in this degree and was recognised for her merit with a prize worth 1,250 euros.
The award ceremony took place on November 19th at the Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico, in Ponta Delgada, and was marked by an inspiring lecture "How to tell stories that win over tourists", presented by Jorge Teixeira, Executive Creative Director of LPM Comunicação. The Executive Creative Director of LPM stressed that "the Azores must maintain a sustainable growth of tourism, safeguarding what is authentic”.
The talk focused on storytelling techniques applied to the tourism sector, highlighting the importance of creating engaging narratives to attract and retain tourists.
Present at the ceremony were the Executive Director of Bensaude Tourism, Jorge Aguiar, a member of the Rector's team, the President of the School of Economics and Management, João Teixeira, the Director of the Tourism degree, Daniela Fantoni Alvares, among other teachers and students from the University and Bensaude Tourism employees.
This award reflects Bensaude Tourism's ongoing commitment to academic excellence and the development of the tourism sector in the Azores, as well as reinforcing its support for new generations and the training of future professionals in the area.
